City Officials In Estherville Say They’re Pleased With The High Level Of Participation In A Community Housing Survey

March 17, 2021

(Estherville)– Data from a housing survey in Estherville has been gathered and is in the process of being analyzed. Lyle Hevern of the city’s Economic Development Office updated the city council earlier this week on the Rural Housing Assessment Program that was conducted in cooperation with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach…Hevern on housing survey

“We sent out a survey and we had over 400 of those surveys returned. That’s two to three times more than any that they’ve had prior. So that’s going to give us good information to use, that Iowa State University Extension personnel will use to put together a plan and that should be available in a couple of weeks and there will be a public event, announcement of some sort, to let everyone know what those results are.”

Hevern thanked those who served on a committee that helped put the survey together and promoted it in the community.
