(Spirit Lake)-Dickinson County Public Health has been receiving thousands of online questionnaires through the Lakes Regional Healthcare website.
Lakes Regional Vice President of Marketing, Jennifer Gustafson says, she hopes residents will be patient with the process as healthcare officials are working to determine who should receive the vaccines first.
“We have probably 4,000 people so far who have filled out the online questionnaire, and we have received all of those questionnaires, so people don’t need to call or email us or anything. We are slowly but surely getting through those people. We are following The Iowa Department of Public Health guidelines, where those that can be vaccinated at this point based on how it’s defined in Phase 1B Tier 1 and we are also going about it in terms of, as long as you fit into that category, then from there, how you fit in terms of your vulnerability. So, that’s how we’re going about it.”
