(Spirit Lake)– This Winter Games Weekend has been a busy one for lakes are law enforcement agencies.
Online records show atleast 23 people were booked into the Dickinson county jail from early Saturday afternoon through early this (Sunday) morning. Of those, 12 were for operating while intoxicated and nine others were for public intoxication. Arrests were also made for eluding, trespassing and interference with official acts.
That’s in addition to atleast nine people that were booked into jail from late Friday into early Saturday. Most of those were also for operating while intoxicated and public intoxication.
Agencies also reported issuing numerous warnings for equipment violations and operation of off road vehicles on state highways.
Lakes area law enforcement agencies have been out in force this Winter Games Weekend keeping a close eye out for impaired drivers and other violations.
