(Ruthven)– A traffic stop around 6:30 pm Wednesday in Ruthven resulted in the arrest of a Wall Lake man on multiple charges.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says a subsequent investigation resulted in a passenger of the vehicle, 26-year-old Jacob Lawler, being arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a prescription drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and failure to affix a drug tax stamp.
It was also discovered Lawler was wanted on a warrant from Des Moines Police charging him with criminal mischief in the 1st degree.
Lawler was booked into the Palo Alto county jail on the local charges and was being held for the Des Moines Police Department pending extradition to Polk county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and its K9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
