(Spencer)– A traffic stop January 21st in the 3100 mile of Highway 18 in Clay county resulted in the arrest of a Cylinder woman on drug charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding around 10:30 pm and discovered the driver, 41-year-old Jeanne Nelson, was wanted on a warrant from Freeborn county, Minnesota.
As she was being transported to the Clay county jail, Nelson admitted to having drugs on her. At the jail, Nelson was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, hydrocodone, and drug paraphernalia. She was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance…3rd or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was also cited for speeding.
