Bridge Replacement Project Planned On Highway 10 In O’Brien County

January 22, 2021

(Ames)– The Iowa Department of Transportation has announced plans to replace a bridge on Highway 10 in O’Brien county. Engineers say a new bridge will be built over Mud Creek, 1.9 miles west of O’Brien County Road L-48. A guard rail will also be replaced and the shoulders of the road in that area will be paved.

The project is planned to begin in 2023.

Through traffic on Highway 10 will be detoured using Iowa Highway 143 and O’Brien County Roads B-62 and L-48.

The D.O.T is currently accepting public comment on the project.
