(Spencer)– Some additional relief may soon be available for businesses in the region negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kylie Miller, CEO of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation, says it will come in the form of some micro-grants…
“A portion of that money came into our region. The Corridor has been tasked with doing a small business grant. So for retail and service businesses there’s going to be micro grants available, approximately $2,500. That could be used for marketing, particularly bringing your business online and selling online. And then if you’re a production business, you know a small manufacturer, this money could be used for prototyping, go towards a piece of equipment you might need, or some other kind of customer or product discovery.”
Miller says they plan to roll out the program as soon as February 1st and that additional details will be forthcoming.
