(Arnolds Park)-
Several concerts are on tap at the Roof Garden during Winter Games, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Three concerts will be held at the Roof Garden Ballroom during the University of Okoboji Winter Games.
Arnolds Park Amusement Park Marketing Director Paul Plumb says safety guidelines will be in place. “Well, we’ve got a lot of things going on starting Thursday night in the Roof Garden Ballroom with The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association hosting The Roof Garden Jam, so that’s gonna be a lot of fun, and then Friday night we have the Thunderstruck concert. If you enjoy the music of AC/DC you don’t wanna miss this. We’ve had a few questions about that. We are requiring masks to get into those indoor concert events. You buy tickets in pods, 2,3 and 4 or 8 pods, then each of those pods is socially distant. If you are up out of your seat, then we will ask you to put your mask on, and once you’re back in those pods, you can take the mask off when you’re consuming beverages or food. That way we’re in line with the State and Federal guidelines that are in place right now.”
He notes that tickets are going quickly for The Pork Tornadoes concert. “We do have a 300 person limit on those concerts inside the Roof Garden, and we’re pretty much guaranteeing that one is going to sell out here shortly, and Thunderstruck probably is not far behind that either.”
