Porch Pirate Investigation Results In Multiple Arrests

(Ruthven)– An investigation into a report of a porch pirate in Ruthven resulted in the arrests of multiple people on drug and other charges.

The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report Monday of some packages that had been stolen from a residence in Ruthven. An investigation resulted in authorities obtaining and executing a search warrant Tuesday at the residence of 18-year-old Riley Fagen of Emmetsburg. Fagen was arrested and charged with theft in the 5th degree, trespassing, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution to a person under 18.

21-year-old Benjamin Novack of Jeffers, Minnesota and 38-year-old Brandon Harris of Milford were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana…2nd offense, possession of a controlled substance…3rd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution to a person under 18.

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was released to the custody of a parent.
