(Estheville)– Two Minnesota men face charges stemming from a traffic stop this past Sunday in Emmet county.
The Sheriff’s Office says the stop was conducted after deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle. An investigation resulted in them discovering the driver, 34-year-old Paul Meyeraan of Fairmont, was wanted out of Nobles county for a probation violation and that his driver’s license was revoked.
Authorities say a passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Shawn Gaston of Fairmont, was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Meyeraan was charged with operation without a valid driver’s license and was held on the warrant. Gaston was charged with third and subsequent possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Emmet county jail.
