(Okoboji)– Officials with Parks Marina say their 12th annual Boat Load of Toys event this year was the biggest yet, bringing in some $6,800 worth of new toys. The toys will be donated to Upper Des Moines Opportunity for distribution to less fortunate children throughout the community.
Since 2008 the Boat Load of Toys event had brought in more than $42,000 in new toys that have been donated.
