(Des Moines)– The state of Iowa today (Fri.) is reporting 2,057 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 for the previous 24 hours as of 10:00 am, along with 77 more deaths.
There were 833 hospitalizations due to the virus, down from 863 Thursday. Of those, public health officials say 175 were in intensive care units with 97 on ventilators.
Clay county reported 19 new cases of COVID-19 since Thursday while Dickinson county is reporting 11 new cases. The county’s death toll remains at 12. Virus-related deaths in Clay county total 10 so far.
