(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair has once again received special recognition at the 2020 International Association of Fairs and Expositions. The event was held virtually this year due to the pandemic.
The Clay County Fair received the 2nd place award for non-fair facility usage for the “Take-Out Tuesday” events. It also placed 2nd in Agriculture Awards for partnering with outside groups or businesses for the Spencer CARES Pork distribution event.
The Clay County Fair also had a 2nd place finish in the Hall of Honor Communications awards in the video category for the postponement announcement and 3rd in at-home activities, non-video. It also placed 2nd in Innovation and Sponsorship for the “Fair in a Box” promotion.
On another note, Jeremy Parsons, General Manager of the Clay County Fair, was named vice chair of the International Association of Fairs and Expositions.
