(Mallard)– No injuries were reported in a crash Saturday afternoon at the Mallard Post Office.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Karen Bachman of Mallard was driving a 2016 Dodge Dart when she collided with a postal service drop box, forcing it into a large window of the post office, breaking out the glass.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,000; the drop box sustained an estimated $1,200 in damage while damage to the building was put at roughly $1,000.
The crash took place a little after 2:00 pm.
