Northwest Bank accepting donations for the Backpack Program in November

Northwest Bank is once again supporting The Backpack Program, which provides assistance to community members through food and monetary donations.

Retail Manager Nicole Evans says, donations will be accepted throughout the month of November.  “It’s a really great program at both the Spirit Lake and Okoboji schools, and we are trying to help collect non-perishable food items and monetary donations that will support both school district’s Backpack Programs, and then, Northwest Bank is going to be matching those donations, up to $500, for each school district.  We are going to be accepting donations all month long, for the month of November to kind of tie it in with Thanksgiving and just a greater need during this time of year.”

She notes that there are several ways to drop off items.  “You can drop off things at the Spirit Lake Branch, the Arnolds Park Branch and the Milford Branch.  We will have displays set up in each of those branch lobbies where they can drop it off, or they can bring in their donations there.  They can drop it off through the drive thru if it will fit, or if they prefer that we run out to their car and grab it for them if they’re not comfortable coming in, we’d be more than happy to facilitate.  Just give us a call and we will make it work however we can.”
