(Spencer)– The Clay County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has awarded grants to six organizations in their fall grant cycle for this year.
$5,000 was awarded to the Clay County Fair and Events Center for their “Un-Fair” events program; $5,000 also went to Arts On Grand and Clay County Heritage for advertising for their Festival of Trees; Clay County Pheasants Forever received $750 for their November Ladies Hunt; $2,000 was awarded to the Black Knights Car Club for their 12th annual Airport Drags; The Northwest Iowa Soccer Club received 1,500 for their Galaxy Cup; and $1,000 was awarded to the “Denver in September” event.
The bureau says its cycle for tourism grants in 2021 will change, with the next round of applications due this coming April 1st. The Special Project Grant will also be due by that same date.
