October 23, 2020

(Milford)– A special TEDxYouth event will be held Friday, November 6th. Lucy Androski is involved with the No Boundaries program at the Okoboji Middle School. She tells KUOO news they’ll be holding a watch party in a rather unique setting due to COVID: it will be held at the Superior Drive-In Theatre…Lucy Androski01

“So No Boundaries is a middle school program where 8th graders get to go out to the community and work with business partners to make an impact on the community. And this even features 10 speakers from the lakes area who are mostly youth with a few at heart. The original event was supposed to a live performance last May, however due to COVID-19 the team had to make some changes. They recorded all their speakers on June 19th and will be hosting a watch party at the drive in, so everyone can safely enjoy their talks on November 6th.”

Androski is among the speakers that will be featured…Lucy Androski02

“My talk is called How To Parent A Teen From A Teen’s Perspective. So my talk is basically about what my thoughts on parenting versus what an average teen thinks about it and what an adult thinks.”

Tickets for the event are $20 per carload and can be purchased online at Eventbrite-dot-com.
