The Dickinson County Nature Center will hold a Family nature Night on Friday evening.

Environmental Educations Coordinator Bryanna Kuhlman says the event should be fun for all ages.  “We are going to be doing a Yucky Animal Candlelight Walk through the Bur Oak savanna.  We are going to have animal characters stationed throughout the oak savanna in costume ready to tell you why they’re yucky, but why that’s okay.  So, we are really excited about it.  We’re hoping that everyone wants to join us.  It shouldn’t be raining that night, it’ll be about 30 degrees so just bundle up and register to come join us.”

She notes that the event is free, however registration is required.  “For registration, we have a 5, a 6 and a 7 o’clock time slot, and we’re limiting to about 6 families per time slot.  So, if you could give the Dickinson County Nature Center a call at 712-336-6352, give them the time slot you’d like to sign up for and roughly how many people will be in your group.  You’ll be set to go, and you can come and join us at either 5,6, or 7.”

The walk will take about 40 minutes to complete.
