(St. Peter)– A two vehicle collision Monday afternoon on Highway 169 near St. Peter claimed the life of a Lakefield man.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 67-year-old James Mollenhauer of Le Suer was driving a 1994 Ford pickup and 60-year-old Randal Thom of Lakefield was driving a 2007 Toyota Sienna. Authorities say both vehicles were southbound when they collided.
Mollenhauer was taken to a Mankato hospital; Thom was pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities say Thom was not wearing a seatbelt.
The crash took place a little before 4:30 pm.
