(Sheldon)– Minor injuries were reported Saturday when a vehicle collided with a tree in Sheldon.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 78-year-old Geraldine Konz of Hospers was driving a 2015 GMC pickup in the 500 block of 6th Avenue in Sheldon and had turned into the city park. Deputies say Konz was attempting to turn around when she hit the accelerator instead of the brake and collided with a tree.
Konz wasn’t taken to a hospital.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000 while the tree sustained about $100 in damage.
