(Emmetsburg)– The Emmetsburg Community School District is now requiring masks be worn by K-12 students. All spectators at all sporting events are also now required to wear them. Those with medical conditions prohibiting them from wearing masks will be exempt from the requirement.
School officials say the new regulations went into affect today (Wednesday).
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Darren Hanna says the mandate is a result of a change in quarantine protocol for schools announced Tuesday by the Iowa Department of Public Health.
