(Spirit Lake)-Tickets are limited for Sip ‘n Stroll in Downtown Spirit Lake next week, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake Chamber will host the annual Sip ‘n Stroll in Historic Downtown Spirit Lake on September 30.
Director of Membership and Events Nancy Vierkant says, a limited number of tickets will be offered this year. “We are going to be having Sip ‘n Stroll Downtown. Check-in will be right by Ruthven Meat Locker. We are asking for advance ticket sales only at spiritlakecc.com and there are a limited number of tickets available. There will be a map as well as a schedule so you can go to 10 different businesses and sample from 10 wineries and distilleries that are coming from across Iowa and Minnesota.”
She notes that safety precautions will be in place. “We’ve expanded the hours, it’s from 5:30 to 7:30, so it’s over a 2-1/2 period of time, and, of course, we have safety precautions in place. We’re going to be encouraging everyone to wear masks, we are going to asking that when you’re in line that you wear your mask. We are asking people to be socially distanced and just keep all of those things in mind so we can have a really safe event. Part of what they’re going to be getting with their ticket purchase itself is a commemorative glass that they’ll be taking home. Everyone will be receiving their own individual hand sanitizer as well, and then the sampling card which tells them which businesses they can go and sample the wine at.”
Tickets are limited at $15 a piece.
