Kozy Heat Fireplaces will hold their annual Betty Soup and Pie Luncheon this Friday in Lakefield, Minnesota.
Owner Jim Hussong says, the event is usually held around the holidays. “We’ve been doing this for 14 years now, actually. It’s a soup and pie dinner that we’ve had at the plant for years and years, and what the charity goes to, it goes to the food shelf, and then also to the kid’s presents for Christmas. Normally we have this in December, and we have it indoors but, since this year is a little unusual with COVID, we decided to do it when the weather was a little bit better that we could do it outside. So we are going to have some goodies that are all going to be made from different businesses in Lakefield, Minnesota. Basically, what you do is, you come in there and you can bring donations of food for the food shelf, and then you drive through, and go up, and you get a bag full of your goodies. Then there’s also a donation that we’re recommending that there would be about $10, and along with that donation you get $5 worth of Lakefield Bucks that you can use to spend in the City of Lakefield.”
The event will be held north of Dudley’s Garage. “We’ll have signs and we’ll have people directing you how to go through.”
