The Dickinson County Conservation Board has announced that the Dickinson County Nature Center will be opening on a limited basis.
Executive Director Lee Sorenson explains. “We are opening September 9th, and we’re going to be open Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 am to 4 pm. You will be required to wear a mask when you enter the building, and we will have hand sanditizer throughout the building, Also, some of our hands-on displays that we are not able to sanitize will be closed, but for the most part everything will be open and operational.”
He notes that many of the outdoor attractions are free and open to the public. “We have our nature playscapes that people have been enjoying, we have the hiking path that goes through, the observation deck and the disc golf course, so we have several things outside that people have taken advantage of since the start of the COVID situation. Just check our Dickinson County Nature Center web page, all of our events are listed there.”
