“We’re hoping that we can keep it up even longer just because we are anticipating having a lot of tests being done for the flu and for covid which we will probably do at the same time once flu season is up and running. But our numbers for the testing site, though, they have been going down quite a bit lately. Our average per day over the last three days has been 44 per day that we’re open, so that is down quite a bit from when we first started doing testing at the Test Iowa Clinic and from August 8th through the 28th, so basically about three weeks time we tested 661 people.”

Gustafson says a total of 4,522 people have been tested at the Test Iowa Clinic in Spirit Lake since it’s been open.

New hours of the Spirit Lake Test Iowa Clinic are Mondays 8:00 am to 4:00 pm; Tuesdays through Thursdays from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm; and Fridays from 7:00 am to 9:00 am. The clinic will be closed Labor Day and will be open Tuesday, September 8th from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.
