Multiple Charges Filed Against Man Accused Of Leading Officers On A High Speed Chase While Driving A Motorcycle

August 26, 2020

(Sibley)– Multiple charges have been filed against a Sibley man who led authorities on a pursuit earlier this month through portions of Lyon and Osceola counties.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Trevor Ferguson was arrested August 17th on charges of operating while intoxicated…1st offense and eluding. Ferguson was also cited for failure to have a valid driver’s license and no insurance.

Authorities say Ferguson led them on a pursuit while driving a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle near George. It reached speeds as high as 100 mph and ended in a crash near the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 5th Street in Sibley after Ferguson lost control of the motorcycle after crossing some railroad tracks. Ferguson then fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later at a residence on 3rd Street in Sibley.
