(Spencer)– An investigation Sunday by authorities in Clay county of a possible intoxicated driver landed two men in jail on multiple charges.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says it stems from a report they received shortly after 1:30 pm of a possible intoxicated driver on Highway 71 near Rossie. A deputy located the suspect vehicle a short time later. Upon investigating it was discovered the vehicle had been stolen out of San Antonio, Texas.
The driver, Antonio Cerrito Olivares, was placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated, 1st offense; open container; and no driver’s license.
A passenger, Luis Torres Palomino, was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and open container.
Both were booked into the Clay county jail.
