(Spencer)-Arts on Grand’s summer fundraiser is coming up at the end of the month, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Arts on Grand’s Backyard Bach & Blues will be held on August 29.
Executive Director Tara Brown says the annual fundraiser will be held in two ways. “You can come in person and social distance, or you can do to go virtual, which is, being able to pick up your food without leaving your car, and then going home and being able to enjoy the entertainment for the evening. So, we’ll have our live concert like we usually do, great food and beverages and we’re going to have a local artist sharing her books. We’re also going to have an artist doing a demonstration of their work, and then, we also have J.D. Bumgarner, he is going to be there with his welding sculptures that he’s been doing and will auction off some of those pieces for us. We have The Josh Quirin Band for our entertainment for the evening.”
She notes that advance ticket purchases are encouraged. “We have tickets available here at Arts on Grand, or The Hen House, or you can just call and order them over the phone. We can take payment over the phone, and that will give us a better head count for what we need to be prepared for as far as how many people are going to be coming in person or needing the to go option.”
