(Hospers)– Minor injuries were reported Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 60 near Hospers.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Susanne Janssen of Hospers was driving a 2014 Ford Fusion westbound on a crossover and 24-year-old Austin Hayenga of George was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on Highway 60. Deputies say Janssen drove into the intersection and the two collided. Hayenga’s vehicle then collided with two stop signs and went into the ditch and rolled.
Minor injuries were reported to both drivers who sought their own medical attention.
Damage to the vehicle driven by Janssen was estimated at $14,000 while the pickup Hayenga was driving sustained an estimated $20,000 in damage. Damage to the signs was put at $400.
Janssen was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
