The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has announced a special Labor Day Weekend event with The Iowa Rock & Roll Music Festival.

Executive Director Clay Norris explains.  “We have been working hard to figure out something since we had to postpone our Annual Labor Day Induction Weekend.  It just felt wrong not to have some live music out there.  So, we searched around and we were able to put together a nice little music festival and introduce that to the area.”

He notes that the Association will present a variety of outdoor performances over the holiday weekend.  “On Thursday night at 7 o’clock on the Museum Patio, it Terry Klein, just a very popular favorite around here.  Then on Friday night, it will be our final Live on Lake Street, and it’s going to feature a group called, The Mister V Trio.  Vance Jorgensen, who calls himself Rockin’ Vance, he’s gathered some All Star friends together.   Then on Saturday, we’ve got 3 concerts that we’re producing, and then one that the Arnolds Park Amusement Park group had already planned, Live at the Lake, featuring Arch Allies.  When you put it all together, there’s 6 concerts.”
