Jackson County Authorities Arrest Suspect In Connection With Some Garages That Had Been Entered

August 17, 2020

(Jackson, Mn.)– Authorities in Jackson county say they’ve made an arrest in connection with some recent incidents in which some garages in Jackson were entered.

The Sheriff’s Office says it received a report over the weekend from a homeowner on the west side of Jackson who found an intruder in their garage around 1:30 in the morning rummaging through a vehicle. The suspect immediately fled on foot.

Deputies were called to the scene and with the assistance of a canine, were able to find the suspect a short time later. Authorities say the suspect, a 41-year-old man from Moorhead, Minnesota, was being held on a burglary charge and was wanted on active warrants from Clay county, Minnesota and Cass county, North Dakota. The suspect’s name hasn’t been released.

Even though an arrest has been made, authorities are still urging people to lock their vehicles and buildings.
