(Arnolds Park)-Party in the Park will be held in a virtual setting this year, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Arnolds Park Amusement Park’s annual fundraiser, Party in the Park, is scheduled for August 19.
Marketing Director Paul Plumb says, the event will be held online this year. “With COVID-19, we have switched to a virtual event, so we’re going to have the event online. They can go to partyinthepark.live and check in there on Wednesday, August 19th at 7 p.m. If they want to get there a little bit early that would be great to make sure you have a spot. Basically, we’ll have a program kind of like what we do with the live event and fundraising opportunities. We’ll have some auction items, that will be silent auction items actually, and they’ll be able to bid right online and they can get the link to the items, which are up right now to preview and you can see what we have going right at the site and what auction items are available and what we have going on.”
He adds that the event is free. “This year, since it’s an online event, it is free to attend and find out everything that’s going on at the Park. We’ve been taping some of the music that’s going on down here, so we’re going to have that as part of the event. It should just be a fun evening.”
