(Spencer)– A single vehicle crash Friday in Clay county sent one person to the hospital with possible injuries.
Clay county authorities say 33-year-old Elizabeth Johnson of Spencer was driving a 2008 Ford Taurus southbound in the 4600 mile of 200th Avenue when the vehicle dropped onto the shoulder and went into the west ditch. It continued to travel through the ditch and struck an embankment on the north side of 470th Street. It then crossed 470th Street and went into the ditch again, traveling about 50 yards before coming to rest.
Johnson was taken to Spencer Hospital for treatment of possible injuries. She was cited for failure to yield.
Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $6,000.
The mishap took place around 8:10 am Friday.
