(Spencer)– An additional send-off is being planned this weekend for troops with the 1st Battalion 194th Field Artillery 2nd Brigade Combat Team. This one is scheduled for this Sunday, August 2nd at 1:00 pm in Spencer.
Residents will be able to line up along the road heading east from the National Guard Armory on 23rd Street in Spencer and south on 1st Avenue beginning at 1:00 pm. Those participating are asked to stand six feet apart to accommodate social distancing.
As we reported earlier in the week, a send-off is also planned for this weekend in Estherville.
The local units are being deployed for duty overseas.
