(Okoboji)-The Scottie Miller Band will return to the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Tuesday, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Scottie Miller Band will perform outdoors at the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Tuesday evening.
Scottie says he’s excited to return to live performance, after doing virtual performances from his home for several months. “The Pearson Lakes Art Center has a really good outdoor area out back, and lots of space to keep spread out. It’s a good environment to do this and be able to keep it safe. I mean, we’re excited. We’ve only played one other whole band gig since February 29th, which is just crazy.”
Scottie notes that he continues to work with the Grammy-nominated Ruthie Foster. “With technology, we’ve been making incredible demos and co-writing and mixing stuff that could virtually go on the next album, but from home. Everybody has enough technology and microphones to be able to send tracks and basically, they send them up to me and I create a mix. So, we’re demoing these new tunes, so that’s been really fun. A really good pile of good songs in the hopper.”
The Scottie Miller Band will take the stage at 7:30 at the outdoor amphitheatre at the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Tuesday evening.
