(Sioux City)– A portion of U.S. Highway 59 north of Iowa Highway 9 in Osceola county will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, July 27th until October of this year, weather permitting, to replace a box culvert.
The Iowa Department of Transportation says traffic in that area will be detoured using Iowa Highways 9 and 60.
Midwest Contracting, LLC is the prime contractor on the $459,538 project.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones.
