(Spencer)– The Spencer Skate Park reopened today(Thurs.).
The facility was closed earlier in the week due to ongoing vandalism and littering.
The city’s Recreation Director, Jared Elbert, says additional trash cans have been placed in the area, adding they will be emptied more frequently. He requests those using the facility to clean up after themselves and to encourage others to do the same.
Anyone witnessing vandalism is asked to contact the Spencer Police Department.
In temporarily closing the facility earlier this week, city officials indicated they wouldn’t hesitate to close it permanently if the problems continued.
