(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Fire Department was called back to 1303 Jackson Avenue late Tuesday afternoon to extinguish a flare-up from a fire earlier in the day that heavily damaged a garage and a house at that address.
Firefighters were called around 4:30 pm after a law enforcement officer on the scene reported seeing smoke coming from the structure.
Upon arriving firefighters reported smoke coming from some roof vents after the fire apparently re-kindled. The fire was quickly put out.
Firefighters were on the scene a little more than an hour.
