(Arnolds Park)– A dumpster fire near The Inn Hotel in Arnolds Park caused some excitement this (Monday) afternoon.
The Arnolds Park-Okoboji Fire Department was called to that location around 3:30 pm. The fire was quickly extinguished and was pretty much contained to the dumpster itself, which contained some cardboard for recycling. A nearby fence was also damaged. No damage was reported to the hotel.
Firefighters were on the scene about a half hour monitoring hot spots.
An employee of The Inn apparently sustained a minor injury while trying to put out the fire with an extinguisher.
Damage to the fence and dumspter was estimated between $800 and $1,000.
