(Spirit Lake)– The city of Spirit Lake will continue flushing fire hydrants over the next several weeks.
City officials say beginning Thursday, July 9th, flushing of hydrants will take place in the southern portion of the city, south of Highway 9. They say the flushing will start east of Hill Avenue in that area and will progress westward.
They add it’s possible residents may notice a slight change in water pressure if a hydrant near the home is being flushed, along with a temporary discoloration of water. They say that if you notice that, you should run cold water until it clears.
