(Arnolds Park)-The Iowa Great Lakes Chamber Fireworks fundraiser is underway, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
A long-running tradition, the 4th of July Fireworks over West Okoboji are some of the most spectacular in the Midwest.
Iowa Great Lakes Chamber CEO Blain Andera says, the Chamber is holding their annual drive to help fund the display. “One of the staples of the 4th of July is the fireworks, and as our slogan always says, big bangs cost big bucks, so, we are right in the middle of fundraising for that. Every donations helps, you know, everything from $10 or $20, $25 up to a $1,000, we certainly appreciate everybody’s donation. You can simply go to okobojichamber.com and click on the fireworks tab and you can fill out the form right online.”
KUOO will once again have the patriotic musical montage that accompanies the fireworks on the 4th of July.
