Iowa Lakes Community College is encouraging students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FASFA.

Steve Pelzer, Financial Aid Director says, that way they can qualify for the Last Dollar Scholarship program.  “It’s actually a state grant for people who are in certain programs of need determined by the state.  It’s a way for students to bridge the gap between any federal or state aid and any tuition or fees that are left over after that.”

He adds that the deadline is approaching to file a FASFA application.  “They have to have a FASFA filed by July 1st, so June 30th is the last day to file a FASFA to be eligible for it, and be an Iowa resident.”

For details contact Steve Pelzer, financial Aid Director at the Financial Aid Office at Iowa Lakes Community College 712-362-7917.
