Arnolds Park Amusement Park Announces June 3rd As New Opening Date

May 28, 2020

(Arnolds Park)– The Arnolds Park Amusement Park is now planning to open for the season Wednesday, June 3rd. Park officials originally had planned to open May 30th but had to reschedule that as a proclamation by Governor Kim Reynolds that allows amusement facilities to reopen doesn’t go into affect until June 1st.

Arnolds Park Marketing Director Paul Plumb says they’re very excited to get the park opened once again…Plumb On Park Reopening

“Well you know I think everybody is ready to get out and about and we’re ready to get things moving down here, too, just looking forward to the time that we can do that.”

Plumb says they’re continuing to use the time between now and June 3rd to put the necessary protocols in place for COVID-19, including the installation of hand sanitizing stations, social distancing for rides and other precautions to meet public health and CDC guidelines.

Plumb adds guests will be encouraged to wear masks, practice social distancing and to use cashless transactions. He says park employees will be required to wear masks and that staff will have their temperature checked before and after their shifts. Plumb says the number of people in the park will also be limited based on state guidelines.

Plumb says the Arnolds Park Amusement Park will be open with limited hours June 3rd through June 5th, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and will resume regular hours beginning Saturday, June 6th.

The Queen Two will also begin running public cruises June 3rd.
