State Of Iowa Reporting 104 More COVID-19 Cases For Previous 24 Hours As Of 10:00 AM This (Tues.) Morning

(Des Moines)– The state of Iowa reported eight more COVID-19 deaths along with 104 more cases for the previous 24 hours as of 10:00 am this (Tues.) morning. It brings Iowa’s total to 17,661 confirmed cases with a death toll of 456.

There were 377 hospitalized COVID-19 patients in Iowa, with 118 of them in the ICU.

In northwest Iowa, there are 105 hospitalized COVID-19 patients with 12 of them being admitted in the last 24 hours.

Of those patients, 37 are in the ICU and 25 are on ventilators. Officials say there are 555 inpatient beds, 90 ICU beds and 81 ventilators available in northwest Iowa.

According to statistics on the state’s coronavirus website, two new positive cases were confirmed in Dickinson county over the weekend, bringing the county’s total so far to nine. The total number of cases as of this (Tues.) morning for neighboring counties included Clay county with 10 cases; Emmet county at seven; Palo Alto county three; O’Brien county with 24 and Osceola county with 32. The number of cases in Sioux county has grown to 207. That’s the second highest in northwest Iowa outside of Woodbury county.
