Spirit Lake Public Library Says Its Curbside Pick Up Program Is A Big Hit

April 27, 2020

(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake Public Library is offering a unique service to its patrons during the COVID-19 pandemic. Librarian Cindy Davis says they’re offering a curbside pick up…Cindy Davis

“Patrons of the library can either go online and reserve items or they can call into the library between 9:00 and 3:00 or they can send us an email and reserve items. The library staff will pull those items and notify them that they’re ready and then they’ll be on a cart in the front entryway. We also have, we have a bunch of like donated books, we have newspapers, tax forms, there’s a bunch of stuff out there for people to use and then they’re using the usual dropbox outside the building. We actually have more items checked out now than we did a year ago on this date, so it’s pretty cool.”

Davis says they started offering the curbside pickup program April 1st and she says they’ll continue to offer it until they re-open. The pick up hours are 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
