Comfrey Farm Prime Pork Temporarily Suspending Operations

(Windom, Mn.)– Another pork processing facility in the region has announced it is temporarily suspending operations due to COVID-19.

Comfrey Farm Prime Pork announced today (Tuesday) it’s taking the action at its plant in Windom, where atleast one person has previously tested positive for the virus. 

In a statement, company CFO Tom Seigfreid says the action is being taken “to prioritize the health and safety of employees and our communities”. He added they “believe these actions will minimize the impact in the long term to our hog suppliers and the food supply chain”.

The company also says all of their employees will continue to receive pay, adding they expect most employees to return to work this Friday, April 24th.
