Tractor Rollover In Osceola Claims Life Of Rural Hartley Man

April 21, 2020

(Sibley)– A tractor rollover Monday in Osceola county claimed the life of a rural Hartley man.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called around 11:15 am to the 6500 mile of 240th Street southwest of May City where they found the man pinned under the tractor in the north ditch.

The victim was identified as 77-year-old Kenneth Boernsen. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say it appeared Boernsen was transporting a section of an old loader with his loader bucket raised when the tractor rolled into the ditch.

The Sibley ambulance and Melvin and May City rescue crews assisted on the scene.
