An Estherville Meat Processing Firm Is Temporarily Shutting Down After Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

April 20, 2020

(Estherville)– An Estherville meat processor is temporarily shutting down indefinitely after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

Officials with Redwood Farms say the action is being taken to protect fellow employees and the community.

They add the employee that tested positive is not from Emmet county.

Company officials say they’ve implemented additional cleaning and disinfecting procedures based on what’s been going on with other meat processing facilities. Employees were also being screened as a precaution.
