(Des Moines)– Organizers of RAGBRAI (the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) announced this (Monday) morning this year’s event is being called off due to COVID-19.
They say the decision was made after close consultation with the eight overnight town executive committees, government agencies, and public health officials.
Next year’s ride is set for July 25-31st, 2021.
Storm Lake was scheduled to be one of the overnight stops for this year’s ride.
