(Milford)– A local school administrator has become an instant social media sensation.
Okoboji High School Principal Brian Downing earlier this week put together a video on Tik Tok, a platform that’s common among young people. Downing told news partner KTIV he figured that would be the best way to capture his audience of high school age students…
“And I just thought what are some songs about being lonely or being alone and I got some help once again from my kids, so my seventh grade daughter, the resident expert in our house on Tik Tok, I went to her, and she taught me a few things and thought it would be a good medium to use.”
In the video, Downing can be seen lip syncing the songs in various areas of Okoboji High School, with all of them having the theme of being alone…
“Those were ones I could do. I’m no dancer, so I thought those were manageable and I thought they were on theme pretty well.”
Downing posted the video on the school’s Facebook page and it didn’t take long for it to go viral. He jokes that hopefully he didn’t ruin social media with his montage.
